How do I place an order?

Click the "CONTACT" tab and fill out the contact form. You can also direct message me on Instagram, facebook, or email me directly at manda.bakes2@gmail.com. Please be as detailed as you can with what you are looking for. Including inspiration photos* is very helpful as well! Please try to give at least 2-3 weeks notice with orders. No order is considered booked until a 30% non refundable retainer of your final balance is received. 

*Please keep in mind that inspiration photos are just that-inspiration! I will try to match the photos you send as much as I can while still keeping it unique and respecting other bakers artistry.

Do you require a retainer?

Yes, a 30% non-refundable retainer is required at time of order to reserve your date. I accept Venmo and PayPal for digital payments. I also accept cash or check. If you choose to pay cash or check for your retainer, your order is not considered booked until cash is received or check has been deposited successfully. 

When will my cake be ready?

Pickup/delivery date is the day of your event. If you will need pickup/delivery before your event date, please communicate that to me at time of booking. 

What if I need to make a last minute change to my order?

Last minute changes are never guaranteed and are on a case by case basis. Any change requests made 48 hours before your event will result in a fee.

Do you deliver?

Yes I do! I charge .65/ mile round trip from my home to you. You are also free to pick up from me in Canyon Country. Manda Bakes is NOT responsible for damages to orders after delivery. Deliveries outside of the Santa Clarita Valley will be subject to an additional charge to compensate for time and traffic conditions. 

Pickup Policy

In order to keep all other pickup and deliveries running smoothly, your order must be picked up at the agreed upon time.  Early or late pickups cannot always be guaranteed or accommodated. Every 30 minutes past your scheduled pick up time, a $10 late fee will be added to your order. 

If I pick up, how do I transfer my items?

Drive as careful as possible! Especially around turns and over bumps. I recommend cakes being on a flat surface such as the floor of the vehicle rather than laps especially for larger/heavier cakes. Never place cake on front passenger seat. Keep your car cool and do not let cake sit in direct sunlight in the car. Cakes and cupcakes are frosted with buttercream and they will melt or lose shape in direct sunlight. Do not stack cookie boxes or cupcake boxes as they can slide. Manda Bakes is NOT responsible for damaged caused to orders after pickup.

How do I take care of my items?

Cakes and cupcakes should always be stored in the refrigerator. During the warmer months you can remove the cakes from the refrigerator 1-2 hours before serving, unless you have it on display in an air conditioned room. During the cooler months you might need to remove it from the refrigerator up to 4 hours before serving to bring it to room temperature. I strongly discourage displaying your cake outside, especially during the warmer months! Cakes and cupcakes are made with buttercream and butter WILL melt. That being said, if you must display them outside, never place in direct sunlight! Wrap all leftovers with plastic wrap touching the exposed cake, store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, and bring to room temperature before serving again. 

Cookies are individually heat sealed in plastic bags and will stay fresh up to 5 days at room temperature. You can freeze uneaten cookies in their plastic bags up to 2 months.

Allergen Disclaimer

Attention customers with food allergies. Please be aware that your order may contain or come into contact with common allergens, such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish or wheat. All common allergens contained in your order will be listed on an ingredient label on the outside of your box. Manda Bakes kitchen is a Cottage Food Operation and is NOT nut free.

Additional information

Cakes or decorations may contain non edible items such as dowel rods/bubble straws for support, floral wires, floral tape etc. Please take care to remove all of these before serving, If your items contain any of these I will leave you with removal instructions.
